Lawyers Helping Lawyers
Since 1980, Lawyers Helping Lawyers has offered assistance to members of the Bar in matters of substance abuse. In 2004, the mission was expanded to include mental health issues with assessment and referrals.
Beginning in March 2008, Lawyers Helping Lawyers will offer substance abuse and mental health support groups in Roanoke under the guidance of Joan Landolt, LCSW. This is the first time any direct services have been offered outside the Richmond metro area.
Ms. Landolt is in private practice in Roanoke and has been associated with Blue Ridge Behavorial Healthcare, Roanoke County Schools, and Hollins University.
Initally, groups will meet at the office of John T. Molumphy, III, at 308 Second Street, SW, Roanoke, VA 24011. No records of attendance are kept, discussions are confidential, and participation is by self-referral.
