Date/Time:	Tuesday, September 9, 2008 The Shenandoah Club Buffet line opens at 12:00 noon; meeting begins at 12:15 p.m.
Program:	The Honorable Linwood Holton Governor Linwood Holton's election heralded the return of the two-party system in Virginia.  He was the first Republican governor elected in Virginia in over 100 years and his tenure is celebrated for championing civil rights, school integration and the environment.  Governor Holton has now penned, Opportunity Time, a memoir of his life experiences that included his law practice in Roanoke.  Please join us for the kick-off of the 2008-2009 Roanoke Bar Association year as Governor Holton discusses his book.
Memorials:	A memorial resolution will be presented in honor of The Honorable Jack B. Coulter who died on September 13, 2007.

Policy:	Reservations are required.
Cost:	$20.00; make check payable to: Roanoke Bar Association
Payment:	Payments will be collected at the door
Parking:	Parking in the Shenandoah Club lot is for club members only.  Parking is available at the Franklin Road All Right parking lot adjacent to the Club.  The Shenandoah Club will validate one hour of parking on any attended lot.

Deadline:	All reservations and cancellations must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008. After the deadline you may send a substitute to avoid a cancellation penalty. All other cancellations after the deadline will be billed $20.00.
