The Roanoke Bar Association invites you to attend the Practice of Law in the 23rd Circuit, a program designed by the Association to provide attorneys with practical information about state and federal courts in Roanoke and the role of the local bar association.
The program is open to any attorney with 5 years of less of experience.

Meet with The Honorable Clifford Weckstein in an informal setting and enjoy a continental breakfast while you gain valuable insight into practicing law in the 23rd Circuit.
Meet the Clerk of Court Brenda Hamilton and staff and learn helpful information about the Clerk's Office.
Learn about resources available at the Roanoke City Law Library from Law Librarian Joey Klein.
Sign up for the RBA Mentor Match Program and
receive valuable assistance with developing the knowledge, practice skills, client service standards, and professionalism necessary for the effective practice of law in southwest Virginia.
Take a guided tour of the building and learn helpful information about where offices are located and applicable security restrictions and guidelines.

Meet with The Honorable Michael Urbanski for a discussion of practices and procedures in the U.S. District court and learn about resources available in the Judge's Law Library.
Meet with Julia Dudley, Clerk of the United States District Court, and learn helpful information about the Clerk's Office.
Learn about the use of technology
when practicing in U.S. District Court.

Any attorney who has practiced law for 5 years or less. RBA membership is not a requirement. This is an excellent way to meet other "new" lawyers in the 23rd circuit and to establish a networking circle. |
